Emma Rubino And Alessia Rollins, Enforcement Acts, Michael's office

here are some great pictures that show the effects and thins that happened during the Enforcement Acts.

Artist Statement:
Our quilt shows how the Enforcement Acts of 1870 to 1871 changed peoples perspectives on the Ku Klux Klan. people may have thought of them differently because they were not guilty in court. the African Americans on the right show the hardships they faced to stand for what they believed in. the army is protecting them from the KKK and the jury. 4 acts were passed n the series and in the end they did not go through. the acts were to protect the Blacks from the KKK so they could not be as easily killed.

hope that helps or informs you
thanx!
