Our quilt square is on women spies in the Civil War. The half man half woman shows how some female spies disguised themselves as men. Some women were credited with the victory of a battle. Female spies were recognized for their work during the Civil War.
This helped there be women in positions of leadership today. There are now women working for places like the CIA.
