ARTIST STATEMENT
My group and I decided to get a little creative with our quilt square. We all agreed to have the words at the top to inform the onlooker what our topic is about. The half man symbolizes a union spy with a gun, trying to blend in with the enemy. Although the male spies were good at getting information, the female spies got more info then the men, because the women wouldnt be seen as a threat. Therefore they collected more information about attacks and advances in war.
